Bill Streever is the award winning and bestselling nature writer behind A Sea Full of Turtles, In Oceans Deep, Cold, and other books. As a biologist, he has worked on issues ranging from the evolution of cave crayfish to the restoration of tundra wetlands to the ecological effects of underwater noise. With his wife, marine biologist and photographer Lisanne Aerts, he lives aboard the 59-year-old cruising sailboat Rocinante, currently somewhere on the Pacific. When Bill is not busy fixing the boat, he spends his time sailing, diving, hiking, rowing a dinghy, paddling a kayak, seeing the world through the twin lenses of science and history, and, of course, writing. One hundred percent of his proceeds from book sales support conservation projects.
